Artwork featured is Rubber Pencil Devil by Alex Da Corte
While working at the Dallas Museum of Art, I had the opportunity to create innovative designs that echoed the aesthetic of each exhibition. For the show For a Dreamer of Houses, I came up with the idea to feature Alex Da Corte’s Rubber Pencil Devil, working closely with a local printer to make these die-cut invitations. I aimed for the element of surprise for recipients opening the invitations, breaking free from the traditional rectangular format to foreshadow the unique works of art visitors would encounter at the exhibition.
For each exhibition, I collaborated with the museum education department to come up with interpretative materials for the public to engage with the exhibtion in creative ways. I designed and illustrated these bilingual activity sheets for younger audiences to create a craft inspired by the exhibition.
